“Sus hechos hablaran por si solos, sus palabras serán sus acciones”

Sobran comentarios. Ha de triunfar sólo uno de los dos, pero el triunfo no le aportará tanto como el haber participado, el haberse hecho valer y el haber luchado por defender sus ideales. El perdedor tendrá la ilusión de por lo menos estar forjando la misma férrea voluntad entre los espectadores que a él le ha hecho seguir en la brecha. En realidad, no saben qué disputan, y es mejor que no lo sepan. Si se enterasen de que todo intento es inútil y todo esfuerzo está condenado al fracaso, se desanimarían y se dedicarían a la vida muelle que tanto cuenta hoy en día en esta cultura del pelotazo. Y luego, ¿quién nos guiaría con sus ejmplares ejemplos?

“Their deeds will speak for themselves, their words will be their actions"

Say no more! Only one of them can emerge the winner, but that triumph will not give him as much fulfilment as having participated, showing his mettle and fighting to defend his ideals. The loser will console himself that he has at least been forging the same iron will among the spectators which made him keep on in there against all odds. To tell the truth they don’t know what they are disputing, and it is better that way. If they were to find out that all effort is futile and doomed to failure, they would become disheartened and look for some cushy number, as so many do in our post-Thatcher society. And then who would guide us with their exemplary example?
